The Donald and Ruby Branson Foundation

Welcome to the Donald and Ruby Branson Foundation. The Branson Family has always valued education and community service. We have set up the Branson Family Foundation to instill in our children the values of community involvement and charitable responsibility. Our focus has always been education because our mothers and grandmother's long relationship with teaching and influencing the young minds of today. The environment has interested us because of where our ancestors and we have lived. We would like to keep the world a clean and attractive place for future generations to enjoy. We hope that our philanthropy will benefit not only the recipients but also our family.

Therapy Partners Inc.

We have funded Therapy Partners Inc.’s program Partners Achieving Literacy for the last 4 years. They service the Huntsville, Alabama area. Their focus is on a semester-long reading program that allows academically at risk second graders to read aloud to an affectionate, non-judgmental therapy dog. During the course of the semester a student will complete and keep 5 to 9 books, all provided by Therapy Partners.
 
Sequoia Forestkeeper

Sequoia Forestkeeper provides monitoring of the management practices in the Sequoia National Forest and the Giant Sequoia National Monument near Kernville, California. We have funded their summer intern program for several years. College student interns monitor sections of the forest and collect data that provide information regarding the forests’ conditions.
 
Eastern Sierra Institute for Collaborative Education

Eastern Sierra Institute for Collaborative Education oversees several projects. We have funded the Eastern Sierra Watershed Project for several years. This project provides hands-on, inquiry-based field and classroom science programs for students in the Owens Valley. Our funds have provided the docent program, transportation costs, and classroom and field supplies.
 
Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care

Eastern Sierra Wildlife Care rescue and rehabilitate birds and small mammals that are injured or sick. We provided funds for them to build a winter/summer roofing system for their bird enclosures.
